Does Directv Have a 2 Year Contract

Direct TV breaks when switching channels, restarting, jumping, freezing, and receiving are frustrating if you`re used to good service. For example, DIRECTV has a prorated early cancellation fee of up to $20 per month.1 If you have three months left on your contract, you`ll be charged $20 in the first month, $40 in the second month, and $60 in the third month, for a total of $120. I was a direct TV customer for almost 11 years.

It was a big company, but AT&T ruined it. I have never had any problems with customer service to date. I received the message 771 (satellite signal lost). I have experienced severe storms, blizzards, etc. and have very rarely lost my satellite signal. She confirmed my phone number and we hung up. Three hours later still no reminder. I called technical support a third time and spoke to “Joe” and explained all of the above. All he did was tell me that I had to pay the $99.00 service fee for someone to come just to review it or buy the protection plan. Again, no effort was made to help. When I told him I was going to change suppliers, he was complacent and didn`t care. So I hung up immediately and called another supplier and set up a new facility.

When I called back direct-to-home TV, they just told me they would upgrade my DVRs in mind. Direct TV promised me a $200 Visa prepaid rewards card if I switched from U-Verse to Direct TV, but after 2 months and several hours on the phone to get the ride, they said they no longer had rewards cards! And when I told them that they had lied to me and that I wanted to leave my department, they told me that I was under a 2-year contract. So they expect me to keep my share of the deal even if they haven`t! I`m so crazy! Do you have DIRECTV? What experiences have you had with that? Or do you like another provider better? I am interested in directv`s new offer for new customers. That`s $35 a month for over 150 channels. But I read that the agreement requires me to sign a two-year contract, and if I leave before the two-year expires, I have to pay a lot.

Why do television services need these contracts? New streaming services like Sling TV don`t. It seems that contracts prevent people from signing. .
