The Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA), sometimes referred to as an Associate in Arts or Associate in Arts and Sciences, is the community college degree to be applied to most Bachelor of Arts degrees at Washington`s four-year colleges. For the agreement to be valid for the transfer, it is essential that the conclusion is completed. Otherwise, each course taken may be assessed separately by the host college, and some courses may not be accepted for the transfer that would have been taken with a completed degree. Students are strongly advised to complete the degree before the transfer. Obtaining a DTA Associate degree does not guarantee admission to UW Bothell. Students who change under this agreement must still meet our minimum admission requirements. Earning an associate degree (transfer) is especially important if you plan to attend a four-year institution with a selective admission policy. With the approval of the State`s Intercollegiate Relations Committee, a transfer degree from Wenatchee Valley College guarantees transfer with junior status to 16 colleges and universities in Washington State. If you only complete two years of schooling at the WVC without a degree, you may not get all the necessary junior level courses. The Direct Transfer Agreement is a national guideline for remittance loans.
